About Us
Pastor Alan De La Cruz has been serving the Lord since 2006 and was baptized in 2007, marking the beginning of his lifelong commitment to follow Christ and help others grow in their faith. With a deep passion for God’s Word and discipleship, he pursued biblical training and graduated from Bible college in 2017. In 2018, Alan met his wife Amy, and the two quickly discovered a shared heart for ministry, discipleship, and serving the local church. In 2020, after proposing to Amy, Alan began attending Smyrna Church, where Amy was already part of the congregation. As they prepared for marriage, they believed it was important to grow spiritually in the same church community and build their future on a shared foundation of faith and service. Alan and Amy were married in May 2021 and have continued serving the Lord side by side. In 2024, they stepped into pastoral leadership together at Smyrna Church, where they are committed to shepherding the congregation and building a healthy, Christ-centered church. Their ministry vision is to see believers grow into mature disciples of Jesus Christ—grounded in Scripture, committed to loving God and loving their neighbor, and actively living out the Great Commission. They are passionate about equipping the church to live with purpose, pursue spiritual growth, and leave a lasting legacy of faith. In 2025, Alan and Amy entered a new and joyful season of life as they prepared to welcome their first child, continuing to trust God’s leading in both their family and ministry.

Our Vision
Smyrna Church is a gospel centered, multi-ethic, intergenerational church. We exist to disciple the church, until the whole body of Christ is equipped to fulfill the commandments of Christ. To love God and their neighbor, and to be responsible for the Great Commission
